Day 13 Redondela to Arcade

I’m losing track of days and time now. Today was a pretty short day, 5 miles. Unfortunately our navigational skills are sketchy so we added an additional half mile in the beginning. If I get nothing else out of this Camino, the one thing I definitely have is a new found respect for the explorers of days long past. Here we are with google maps, camino apps and various other tools and we still struggle trying to find the route! How the heck did they navigate by stars and rock formations? If someone told me to go north at the rock that looks like an elephant I would die of old age before I finished debating if the rock really looks like an elephant. Let alone know which way is north!

I am doing a horrible job of taking pictures of Rich on this Camino because he is always behind me! I will rectify and start posting more pics of him.

I think we are at the point in this Camino where we will no longer be able to walk by the water. We keep trying to stick to the coast line but today we would get down there, walk for 100 ft and then hit a spot where the only option was to climb something like this:

Definitely going to miss being by the water! I can’t believe we have less than a week left.
