Leon days 3-5 - September 26

We are really enjoying this city! It is very walkable and everywhere you turn you wind up in some quirky neighborhood or plaza. The locals here have been really kind to us.

The days are kind of blurring together so I’ll just give you a rundown of what we have been doing with our downtime. Laundry! We love an apartment with a washing machine. Unfortunately this one didn’t come equipped with a drying rack or clothesline so we had to get creative and had clothes hanging from every possible spot.

We walk around in the mornings and usually pick a museum to check out. Today’s museum was the modern art museum.

Since everything closes from 2pm to 5pm we usually come back to the apartment and make our salads and catch up with you all back home. I’ve been battling a lupus flare so I have spent a fair amount of time just resting in the evening but we have managed to go out at night.

Olga has been walking through the Meseta and she is now just 11 miles away! We will be reunited tomorrow and she gets a down day and then the plan is for all 3 of us to hit the trail again. I am feeling ready to walk with my new shoes and “can do” attitude! (We’ll see how long it lasts)!

Some pics from the last couple of days

Isn’t he so handsome?! (See above)
