What do you have inside that thing? Part 2

Since I spent the better part of three months of my life trying to decide what to wear and carry with me on the Camino, I thought I would share what I ended up deciding I couldn’t do without. This is Part 2, which includes sections on electronics, photography and first aid/personal items.

Part 2:

Electronics

IPhone 16 Max Pro w/cable
Portable magsafe 10000 mAh power bank w/cable
Apple watch w/quick charge cable,
Sandisk 4TB portable SSD backup drives (3)
spare usb and usb-c cables
Belkin powered 4 port usb-c hub

Photography:

Sony RX100 II Camera w/spare battery and SD cards
DJI Action 4 Camera w/spare batteries and micro SD cards
DJI wireless mic
wireless remotes for Sony and DJI Action 4
small portable tripod
DJI Extension rod
Spigen magsafe tripod/selfie stick combo
Peak Design Capture Clip (2 used to attach Sony and DJI backpack)
small bag of various connectors, adaptors, etc..

First Aid/Personal items:

Won’t bore you with each specific item in this category but basically includes necessary daily hygiene items (toothbrush and paste, deodorant, sunblock, soap, razor, etc.) as well as blister prevention and repair (Compeed, moleskin, Band-Aids, wrap, tape, scissors, file, clippers, etc.). I also use a knee sleeve due to a troublesome left knee bone spur so decided to carry a spare. Finally, a starter amount of Tylenol, GU and body wipes, as well as a journal, passport, credit cards, small towel and a few Euros.

My fully loaded pack including 2 liters of water weighs just under 21 lbs. If I was willing to just use only my iPhone for photos and video, I could reduce this by nearly 4 pounds, but I feel in the long run I would regret not bringing a video and still camera and related “stuff” to help document the experience.

Thanks for reading! Buen Camino :)
