Day 10 Baiona to Saians

We had a seven mile day today and we powered through without much of a break. I find that once I stop, it gets really hard to start again. I am also on a bit of a race with the sun.

The walk started out really nice by the water but then we were mostly walking through town

The house we booked for the evening turned out to be rather magical. It was right on the water but the most magical part for me was this:

When we got to the place there was a teeny tiny dog who didn’t seem to interested in us. I took a shower and when I got out, I came out to this:

The cat made itself quite comfy in Rich’s lap and had no intention of moving. The two dogs were the best hosts! They walked around with us, demanded pets and provided that special companionship that only they can provide. I couldn’t convince Rich to let them sleep in our room.

The other kind of magic of this place was the setting

As the sun was setting we heard a male voice singing. He was literally singing a song to the setting sun. It was beautiful. I was too enthralled to even think about picking up my phone to record it. Luckily, Rich snapped a photo of the sunset.
